February IHSW Sign Up

It's that time of the month again–the 3rd full Friday-Sunday weekend of the month–IHSW'ers unite for a sore bum (as Mouse calls it) weekend!

How silly of me to not have included details of my new start previously. It's Lilac from Nora's Pixie Couture line and the fabric is PTP's Masquerade, 32ct opalescent lugana. I gotta say, though I'm not a fabric snob and despite the 32ct, this has to be one of my least favorite fabbies. The holes are near impossible to see. Blargh!! I have to keep myself psyched up for another two pixies on this fabric type though, so be forewarned for more follow-up complaints. ;)

As of last night:

You know what to do. :D

Your pixie looks well off to a fine start. Sorry about your frustrations with your fabric. I just started my first piece on black linen, and I can only say I share your pain regarding stitching on fabric that I cannot see clearly for the life of me. Looking forward to our next weekend of hiding out and stitching away!

You know I'm completely excited about this IHSW!!

Those holes do look tiny. Good luck with that. It's no fun stitching on fabric you don't like.

(Looking forward to the IHSW!)

Bring on the weekend!

She is beautiful. I hate linen in general. I want my X's to lay perfect and the linen just doesn't allow that to happen most the time. So I'm sure we can all understand your upcoming complaints.

I'm missing this official IHSW so I cheated and did one this past weekend.

I'm stitching a dragon on opalescent lugana and I find it a bit frustrating. It's like... the threads of the fabric have little gaps that look like they should be holes? It's confusing!

Nice stitching.
Enjoy IHSW, looking forward to seeing how you all get on.

A beautiful new start (:

Great progress! I hear ya on the fabric though. I had some 32 count opalescent Meditation lugana and it was a pain to stitch on! I despised it and said never again. Good luck :)

Very lovely Joyce! Sorry to hear you're not enjoying stitching on the fabby, but I'm sure all of your hard work will pay off in the end, as it really is beautiful-looking ;)

Hello Joyce! After a long absence, here I am. :) I'm very excited to be a part of this group again.

Fortunately I never stitched in a difficult fabric. With calm and patience you will see everything will go smoothly.

Looking forward to IHSW and to see your progress in another beautiful project. :)

kisses
